Brooklyn Street Photography
As
I started to shoot photos and do some online research, I learned that
My Panasonic G85 has a 16MP micro 4/3 sensor. What does that mean? It
means the sensor size is ¼ the size of a full frame DSLR like the Canon
5d IV or a Sony A7. My camera is a crop sensor camera. To get the
actual focal length equivalent angle of view, you have to multiply the
focal length number by 2x. So, a 45mm lens on my camera would equate to a
90mm angle of view. That’s considered a flattering “portrait” lens in
the photography world. Sensor size and how it affects your aperture and
effective focal length’s angle of view was very interesting information
for me to digest.
Anyways, here are some photos I took with my 25mm f0.95 and 45mm f1.8 lenses. The 45mm f1.8 is a very strong lens for street photography because it has a pretty telephoto range (90mm angle of view/aov) and autofocus! My 25mm f0.95 does not have autofocus and its very hard to nail moving targets with it.
Gary Vaynerchuck mentioned in one of his youtube videos that the world around you may be boring to you, but might be the most interesting thing to someone halfway around the world. Taking that mindset, I tried my best to take captivating cinematic shots to inspire wonder. This was just an average stroll around my neighborhood.
